To provide users with a clear, step-by-step guide for signing into and using a shared Webex phone at a hoteling station, ensuring they can access phone services securely and effectively during their reserved time.

The procedure applies to all Samuel Merritt University faculty, staff, and students who need to use a shared Webex phone in a hoteling or hot-desking environment.
Tools Required:
- A shared Webex phone at a hoteling station
- A smartphone with the Cisco Webex App installed
- A Samuel Merritt University account or appropriate credentials
Procedure:
Part 1: How to Sign in to Shared Phone
Step 1: Download the Webex App
- On your personal smartphone, download and install the official "Webex" application from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Step 2: Activate the Phone with QR Code
- On the shared Webex phone's screen, locate and scan the displayed QR code using your smartphone's camera.
- A prompt will appear on your phone; tap on it to open the Webex App. The app will handle the connection to the shared phone.

Step 3: Book the Phone for Your Session
- Using the Webex App or the phone interface, book the shared phone for your desired time slot to ensure it is reserved for your use.

Step 4: Apply Configurations
- The phone will automatically apply your personal profile and configuration settings (if applicable) after a successful sign-in.

Step 5: Phone is Ready for Use
- Once the configurations are complete, the shared phone is ready for you to make and receive calls.

Part 2: Sign-Out Process
Step 6: Initiate Sign-Out via Webex App
- On your smartphone, open the Webex App.
- Locate and click on the "Sharing" or control button (as illustrated in the guide) to access the device management menu.

Step 7: Complete Sign-Out
- From the menu, select the option to "Sign Out" or "Stop Sharing" to securely disconnect your account from the shared phone.
