Universal Print - QR Code Print Job Release

The most common way to release a print job from a Universal Print printer is by opening your phone's camera app and scanning the QR code attached to the printer.

NOTE: If you have a dedicated desktop printer in your office or you're a student printing to one of the student shared printers (ie library or computer lab), then you'll be able to print without having to use the secure release with QR code. All you need to do is add the printer to your computer by following the appropriate 'Setup of Universal Print Instructions'.

*Note as of August 2026 the CoPilot mobile app by Microsoft is no longer used, the scan will redirect to a web sign in to release print jobs.

Please
Uninstall the CoPilot app.
