Microsoft Office 365 applications should normally open, close, and move around the screen and across screens smoothly without issue. There are times when you may run across issues where a window will freeze, an email will come up with an empty window, a excel sheet will freeze or pixels will not all show up. Then after some delay, or opening and closing the application, it will work again. If this happens more than once, you can check a setting in the application called "Disable Hardware Graphics Acceleration". By default this is not checked.
This is typically located in File, Options, and then the Advanced tab. Check the box, and click ok:
