Sign in to VPN, unless 'docked-in' on campus. Check that laptop is plugged into power source. For Microsoft Office 365 or other applications that may be larger in size, it may take 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on the bandwidth. Try to minimize what other programs are open during installation.
In the search field by the START menu, perform a search for Software Center:
Select the application icon you are looking for from the of list of icons:
Click the blue INSTALL button:
